Just a simple song to share... not sure who still reads this blog though! :)
My Lord Jesus
My Lord Jesus
I love you
My heart is captivated by You
My Lord Jesus
I trust You
Lord I give my whole life to You
My Lord Jesus
I need You
Wouldn't you come and lift me up again
Holy Spirit
Fall afresh
Fall on us now
Come and make us whole
Come and help us grow
Holy Spirit may you live in me
as I live in You
Holy Spirit
Fall upon me now
Dear God, Abba Father
Forever You're enthroned, O Most High
Thank You for Your love for me
Your grace so free
I will praise Your name eternally

Nothing Comes Close
It's been a long time since i asked the Lord for a new song! Hmm... this short song is entitled "Nothing comes close"... There was once when i was worshipping the Lord in service, and I felt so close, so divine, like i was in heaven... The feeling is indescribable... And at that time, i told the Lord, This feeling that I have now, Nothing can ever replace it..... Hope u'll be blessed by the song too!
Nothing Comes Close
As I stand in Your presence
Peace fills my heart
When I lift my hands
Surrender all
Your Spirit lifts me up
You lift me up
Chorus:
This feeling in my heart
This dancing of my soul
The love you have for me
So pure So real So true
O Nothing..
Nothing Comes Close
So real, so true
Your love for me
Lord I surrender to You
As I stand in Your presence
Peace fills my heart
When I lift my hands
Surrender all
Your Spirit lifts me up
You lift me up
Chorus:
This feeling in my heart
This dancing of my soul
The love you have for me
So pure So real So true
O Nothing..
Nothing Comes Close
So real, so true
Your love for me
Lord I surrender to You

Because of Your Love
Beautiful song!!! :)
Because of Your Love
by Al Gordon
This is how I know what love is
This is how I know I’m free
This is how I know salvation
Jesus came and died for me
This is why I come to worship
This is why I lift my hands
This is why I now surrender
Everything I am
Because of Your love
There’s dancing in my heart
Because of your grace I am free
Because of your faithfulness
There’s a song that must be sung
I will sing, I will sing because of You
This is why there’s joy within me
This is why my spirit sings
Jesus you’re my great adventure
You’re my everything
You came to save the world
To save the world, to save the world
Your love can change the world
Can change the world, can change the world
I will dance, I will dance because of You
I will dance because of You
Because of Your Love

So happy, i can't sleep..
Haha, I wanted to sleep early tonight as I prepare myself for the new school term.. I was on my bed, all ready to sleep, when suddenly the Lord reminded me to get up to do my quiet time! So i got up, and b4 i got read the bible, an sms came in.. An sms that made me so so elated from within...
"Aunty Carolyn on this tuesday i cannot come. i want to concentrate on p.s.l.e. Im sorry. I want to study and would like to go on thursday class with lie jun. i have completed my assignment and want to pass it on time because i did it with pride." - from one of my p6 boys
(Tues - our character prog with them; thurs - we arranged some sec 4 tutors for them)
HAha, my dear boy has actually woken up and is so serious about studying! my gosh.... i was shocked beyond shocked.. but of cuz, i cannot let him don't come for our prog.... so i replied:
"Well done *****.. I am so proud of you that you put in so much effort to do your work.. We will have study time during Aspire too, and we need to practise for sports carnival.. Can u come on tues too?"
I thot he'll just reply "see first" or "i dun want to come".. but... his reply:
"I will try as a bigger boy we have to show good example to the younger and i come and teach them about soccer and studies. 1,2,3. 3,2,1 aips no. 1 in studies and sports"
hahaha... what???? he's actually telling me that he wants to be a good shining example to the rest? Well, that's what we've been trying to drill into him for the past 1 over year..... with minimal response (haha...) and now it is actually coming out of his own mouth???? amazing.
Well, just to put things in perspective... let me tell u a little something about this dear boy. He can be one tough nut to crack at times... Suddenly, out of the blue, he will walk away, shout at us, say hurting words, bully others... it seemed like he had serious problems controlling his emotions.. But for this dear dear boy i had a really soft spot for him. We always wanted to groom him as a leader, but most of the time he "led" by ordering the rest around and it worked only cuz they were scared of him....
After the recent camp, in which he showed some improvement, i wrote him a postcard to encourage him. Upon receiving it, i received no less than TWENTY missed calls from him within an hour (i was at aerobics lesson...).. I wa shocked at how much that simple postcard can mean to him. Subsequently, when he saw me, he told me "I changed after the ace camp righT? i am good now."
Today's sms really caught me by surprise.. One year back, i would never have imagined him saying such things to me.. (well, the only things he said was "so boring..." hahahaa) And i am really very encouraged. Really, God makes the impossible possible, if only we believe.
It's not easy to love everyone.. Especially people who hurt you though u choose to love them... But at the end of the day, God still loves each and every one of us... And so he commands us to do likewise..
I know his sms comes as a form of God's encouragement to me. I know the Lord is saying, your labour in the Lord will not be in vain....haha, well, just thought to share this with u all (though i wonder who still reads this blog! haha) as an encouragement.... HAha, God can and will work miracles.... choose to continue to believe, and continue to love and believe in others....
All glory be to God!

John 1
The Word Became Flesh
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood[a] it.
6There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.[b]
10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent,[c] nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[d] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' " 16From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. 17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only,[e][f]who is at the Father's side, has made him known.
John the Baptist Denies Being the Christ
19Now this was John's testimony when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was. 20He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, "I am not the Christ.[g]"
21They asked him, "Then who are you? Are you Elijah?"
He said, "I am not."
"Are you the Prophet?"
He answered, "No."
22Finally they said, "Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?"
23John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, "I am the voice of one calling in the desert, 'Make straight the way for the Lord.' "[h]
24Now some Pharisees who had been sent 25questioned him, "Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?"
26"I baptize with[i] water," John replied, "but among you stands one you do not know. 27He is the one who comes after me, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie."
28This all happened at Bethany on the other side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
Jesus the Lamb of God
29The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! 30This is the one I meant when I said, 'A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' 31I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be revealed to Israel."
32Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. 33I would not have known him, except that the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' 34I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God."
Jesus' First Disciples
35The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. 36When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, "Look, the Lamb of God!"
37When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. 38Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, "What do you want?"
They said, "Rabbi" (which means Teacher), "where are you staying?"
39"Come," he replied, "and you will see."
So they went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with him. It was about the tenth hour.
40Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). 42And he brought him to Jesus.
Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas" (which, when translated, is Peter[j]).
Jesus Calls Philip and Nathanael
43The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, "Follow me."
44Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. 45Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."
46"Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?" Nathanael asked.
"Come and see," said Philip.
47When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, "Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is nothing false."
48"How do you know me?" Nathanael asked.
Jesus answered, "I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you."
49Then Nathanael declared, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel."
50Jesus said, "You believe[k] because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You shall see greater things than that." 51He then added, "I tell you[l] the truth, you[m] shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."
Huijuan: And the word became flesh, this morning as i was playing my psp, i sense that God was telling me to allow His word grow deep in my heart. This season, i am also pondering how close am i to God?? I need to return back to the lovey-dovey(wrong speeling..i think.. haha) relationship with God.
Crow: Verse 12: Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.. Though this is a very simple truth, I claim it today, that I am a child of God... Born not from natural descent, or by human decision, but born of God.. Thank u Lord

Psalm 149 - Wednesday
1 Praise the LORD. [a]
Sing to the LORD a new song,
his praise in the assembly of the saints.
2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
3 Let them praise his name with dancing
and make music to him with tambourine and harp.
4 For the LORD takes delight in his people;
he crowns the humble with salvation.
5 Let the saints rejoice in this honor
and sing for joy on their beds.
6 May the praise of God be in their mouths
and a double-edged sword in their hands,
7 to inflict vengeance on the nations
and punishment on the peoples,
8 to bind their kings with fetters,
their nobles with shackles of iron,
9 to carry out the sentence written against them.
This is the glory of all his saints.
Praise the LORD.
Chin Ling: OH YAY! Its great to be reminded that Praise is a weapon against the enemy! It is the glory of all his saints! PRAISE THE LORD!
Eunice: I am reminded now, that the joy of the Lord is my strength! Come on.... tiredness go away... I will try to sing a new song now to make myself feel better, and stronger...! God, I want u to take delight in me as much as I take delight in you... Jia You Jia You! The praise of God be on my mouth... Amen! Back to my joyous work!!!
Huijuan: Praise God for everythng! I am so happy!
Sara: Dunno what's wrong with me today but Ive been spotting mistakes after mistakes in my work today and it's so difficult to rectify them! But I am reminded of the last chapter of the Joel Osteen book ive been reading, which highlights that it is our choice to be and stay happy, and so, I still choose to praise the Lord for today and whatever comes my way!
Crow: When i read this psalm yesterday, the Lord asked me, "Do you believe I still delight in you?" I shamelessly claimed it, haha, and I know that it is true. The Lord will protect and bless us; such is the glory we will bask in... :)
